EESL’s Private Sector ESCO Engagement Initiative

Nov 17 – Scope Complex, Delhi

EESL along with USAID MAITREE organized a meeting to deliberate on the possible collaborations between EESL and Private sector ESCOs. Meeting was aimed at accelerating the engagement of private sector in ESCO market, towards the transformation energy efficiency products and services.

New areas of energy efficiency offerings, EESL-Private ESCOs partnership mechanism, business models, roles and responsibility were the key points discussed during the meeting.

Workshop on Accelerating adoption of Sustainable Solutions for Industries

Nov 23 – Bhopal / Oct 1 - Raipur

EESL organized workshops on “Accelerating adoption of sustainable solutions for Industries” in association with respective government agencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.

The meeting mainly focused on adopting energy efficient technologies for the sustainable development in the industries. The workshops was attended by participants from various government agencies, industries, associations and other service providers.

Conference on Energy and Environment – Towards a Sustainable Future- URJAVARAN

18th Dec 2021 – Coimbatore/ 23rd Dec 2021 – Surat

EESL as a knowledge partner participated in the ISHRAE organized Urjavaran events in Coimbatore and Surat Chapters. This conference mainly focused on Building energy efficiency and improvements in air conditioning energy efficiency. Various stakeholders like builders and service providers attended the conference.

EESL presented some of its energy efficient technologies that can be adopted in Building like SEAC, UJALA, Pump replacement program, etc.. Initiative being undertaken by EESL in Chiller Replacement programs were also discussed in these workshops.

Industrial Energy Efficiency Exhibitions – Kerala

17th Nov 2021- Rice Mill Cluster /2nd Dec 2021 – Sea food Cluster / 20th Dec 2021 – Agricultural implements

FICCI organized Industrial Energy Efficiency Exhibitions in Rice mill Cluster at Ernakulam, Sea Food Cluster at Aroor, Agricultural Implements Cluster at Shoranur in Kerala. Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) as a knowledge partner participated in these events and presented on the various energy efficiency technologies that can be implemented in the respective clusters.

Topics which were discussed in these meetings included Integrated Energy Efficiency solutions (IEES), SEAC, NMRP, Pump replacement program, BLDC Ceiling fans, industrial EE technologies and innovative financial mechanisms

Industrial Energy Efficiency Dialogue -Towards a Sustainable Future

4th September,2020 & 10th July,2020 |Webinar and 4th February, 2020 | Ankleshwar, Gujarat

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) along with International Institute for Energy Conservation – India (IIEC-India) has conducted a stakeholder webinar with key industry and corporate leaders in North and Western part of country to share and discuss the innovative EE mechanisms and schemes along with the success stories to initiate the dialogue and provide support in overcoming the technical and financial barriers in the implementation of energy efficiency.

Apart from that, another same program was held in Ankleshwar, Gujarat on 4th February 2020 for the senior management i.e. CEO/CFO’s and Engineers of different industries and hotels based out in Gujarat. The roundtable was attended by approximately 40 participants from various industries such as Surya Life Sciences, Deccan Fine Chemicals, Sanofi, Ion Exchange, DyStar, Detox, etc.

Conference on “Integrated Energy Efficiency Solutions for Industries”

EESL has organized a program on ‘Integrated Energy Efficiency Solutions for Industries’ for inclusive growth of all like-minded entities with an objective to influence the changes through partnering, learning & sharing.

This conference was a unique platform for learning and collaboration to bring together key policy-makers, influencers, innovators, thought leaders, researchers, leading energy-efficiency companies, government agencies, business leaders and stakeholders from diverse sectors in India to discuss energy policies, market transformation strategies, and technology and business-model led transformations.

To share the learnings of EESL, the conference was organized by EESL in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry under the aegis of Global Environment Facility (GEF) project “Creating & Sustaining markets for Energy Efficiency”.

CONFERENCE ON ‘DECARBONIZING THE INDUSTRIAL GROWTH-SUSTAINABLE APPROACH”

EESL has organized a program on ‘Decarbonizing the Industrial Growth- Sustainable Approach’ for key stakeholders from leading industrial conglomerates, energy-efficiency companies, government agencies, business leaders and stakeholders from diverse sectors in India to discuss energy policies, market transformation strategies, innovative technologies and business-model led transformations etc.

This workshop was organized as a part of the National Energy Conservation Day celebrations. This conference was supported by GEF, United Nations Environment Programme, Asian Development Bank, Institute for Sustainable Communities & International Copper Association. Program Conceptualisation of this conference was done by Green + Foundation , an organisation associating towards Partnering , Learning & Sharing.

The purpose of the summit was to inspire companies to create and adopt pathways that lead to decarbonizing their operations. Sessions focused on the business case for de-carbonization, strategies to accelerate decarbonization and an introduction to relevant tools and resources.

International Symposium to Promote Innovation & Research in Energy Efficiency (INSPIRE 2019)

November 11-12, 2019 | Mumbai

With a vision to create a conducive environment that direct and nurture innovation in India and successfully advances its role in the global energy transition, the fourth edition of the International Symposium to Promote Innovation & Research in Energy Efficiency (INSPIRE 2019) was conducted in Mumbai. The two-day symposium was organised by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) in association with The World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and World Resources Institute, India (WRI India). Based on the theme of Innovation, INSPIRE 2019 honoured five path breaking innovations in clean energy and energy efficiency as part of the second edition of #InnovateToINSPIRE challenge, a first-of-its-kind energy innovation challenge.

Global Environment Facility – 6 (GEF 6)

“Creating & Sustaining Markets for Energy Efficiency” And “District Energy in Cities”

EESL has partnered with Global Environment Facility (GEF), which has provided a grant of around $20 million to enable EESL to play a leading role in India’s transformational shift towards a low-emission economy, focusing on energy efficiency. This project, “Creating and Sustaining Markets for Energy Efficiency” brings together a number of technical and financing partners, including United Nations Environment (UNEP), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the German KfW under a $ 430 million package, which aims to mitigate 60 million tons of CO 2eq &total direct energy savings of 38.3 million GJ by 2022 and 137.5 million GJ by 2032.
